Throughout 2025, the REDESIGN project, in collaboration with Milfulles, carried out a series of events and educational activities in Salt, Spain, engaging local communities, students, and academic audiences in revaluing the town’s orchards, groves, and agricultural landscapes.
Fira de la Flor i del Planter de Salt – 6 April 2025
Pilar Martínez and Enric Cassú presented Milfulles at the town’s iconic flower and plant fair,introducing the project’s goals to residents and highlighting the cultural and environmental value of Salt’s green space.
Audiovisual Capsules & Workshops – 4 November 2025 to 31 January 2026
As part of the From Faces to Fields campaign, Milfulles developed audiovisual capsules to showcase the value of Salt’s orchards and groves. Students from the ERAM School of Arts participated in workshops titled “Inhabiting the land through sight and listening: the act of cultivating images and sounds”, exploring the interplay of images, sounds, and landscape.
II Jornada d’Agroecologia – 13 November 2025
Pilar Martínez and Enric Cassú contributed to the II Jornada d’Agroecologia: Caminem cap a un futur agroecològic at the University of Girona. The session created a learning space for local and international actors to discuss sustainable agri-food systems and share insights from the REDESIGN project.
Musical Vermouth in the Milfulles Garden – 16 November 2025
This community event combined music, conversation, and nature, strengthening local engagement and connecting residents with the project’s vision.


Guided Tour for University of Girona Students – 12 December 2025
REDESIGN hosted a guided tour for students of the Master’s Degree in Environmental Change and Socio-Ecological Transition, introducing them to Salt’s socio-environmental context and the project’s objectives. The session concluded with a collaborative exercise, allowing students to contribute ideas for the town’s strategic plan to restore orchards, groves, and riverbanks.
Through these initiatives, REDESIGN and Milfulles demonstrated how participatory research, community engagement, and creative educational approaches can revalorize local landscapes, promote sustainability, and foster collaborative learning.
